What We Owe the Future, William MacAskill
We wrote a piece which publicised ideas in MacAskill’s new book with the hope to increase recognition for the author’s book and ideas.

In What We Owe the Future, philosopher William MacAskill argues for a perspective he calls longtermism: that positively influencing the long-term future is a key moral priority of our time. From this perspective, it’s not enough merely to undo climate change. We must ensure that civilization would rebound if it collapsed; prevent the end of moral progress; and prepare for a world where the smartest beings on the planet are digital, not human.

Art Direction
I led design and art direction, choosing to work with Ibrahim Rayintakath to explore these ideas and symbolic scenes.

Here, we reference metaphors used by the author that compare humanity to that of a teenager, living without regard for consequence, unaware that today’s choices will shape our shared future.
